Just a friendly reminder to check and/or empty your catch ca

Just a friendly reminder to check and/or empty your catch can!

Thanks JDP!

JDP Emptied somebodies Elite Engineering catch can. It was completely full, and quite disgusting.
This Camaro is a daily driver with about 60k miles, and the catch can was emptied at the last oil change.

If you don't have one yet, do your really want this crap to go through your intake manifold, heads, and combustion chambers?

(These pictures are not edited [other than size], doctored or faked. This slime is typical in cooler weather; a mixture of oil, fuel, water, and who knows what else! Warmer weather is similar, but less water [from condensation].)

And to think if you don't have a catch can at all, that's what is going through your intake anyway.

I need to go check mine this weekend after seeing this. It's been awhile since I emptied it.

um...that looks alot like a head gasket leak letting coolant into the oil to me...
crankcase ventilation isnt usually that creamy...dark and oily... yes but that looks like melted cream cheese and oil
to me.

Or am i missing the point and this isnt a catch can for PVC ventilation reburn line on a gen5?

I agree it should not look like that. And mine never does on my LLT.

However after reading other posts i found out the colder the climate, the more water vapor, the more it will look like melted chocolate icecream

Crazy. Because if i seen that i would think the same thing about a leak.

You can get them online.

Very easy to install. We can do it together at a event in like 15 mins. :-)

I got mine here @
